| Part 1 completes Peri's progressive cover-up with the addition of a blue cloak and cute matching beret over her Timelash outfit. But even that doesn't free her from the advances of lecherous guest stars, and this time round it's sexpot mortician Mr Jobel. | |
| Breasts: | In Part 2, Peri removes the cloak and unbuttons herself enough at the front to show off a nice voluptuous bulge, not to mention a decent slice of cleavage when the camera angle's right. Kara ( Eleanor Bron ) also has a striking chest to offer. |
| Bottoms: | We get a look at the seat of Peri's trousers when the Doctor helps her up over the wall in Part 1, and in Part 2 there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it double-buttocked side view when she turns round in the DJ's studio. |
| Underwear: | Natasha ( Bridget Lynch-Blosse ) wears a Tranquil Repose uniform so thin that her bra can be seen through the back in Part 1. |
| Miscellaneous: | Peri is still wearing her high-heeled
Timelash boots, which do for the Doctor's thing in the wall-climbing
sequence ( cue vulgar double-entendre ). Natasha is another gun-toting babe, but she still spends a good chunk of both episodes manacled to the wall. It's pretty clearly indicated that Kara is having an affair with her secretary. Just look at how they link arms for drinkies in Part 2! |
| Behind the Scenes: | Nicola Bryant wore thermal knickers under her costume for the freezing conditions of the location filming. |
Doctor Who went onto hiatus after this story, but Nicola didn't get much of a break from Peri's leotard and shorts. The production team had bought in a whole wardrobe in this style, more than were ever used in the series, and Nicola squeezed into them whenever there was an opportunity for a publicity photograph during the eighteen months away. This included the production of the Doctor Who radio adventure Slipback, when she and Colin posed for the press and he obligingly lifted her up to show the cameras her bottom. And later in the year, they paid a visit to the BBC Enterprises Doctor Who exhibition in Blackpool to publicize the BBC's Children in Need telethon, with Nicola sporting a nipple-revealing yellow leotard. She later wore the outfit in the Children in Need studio at the end of the longest ever line-up of Doctors and companions (including a jiggling, braless Janet Fielding).
