A O L Browser Problems
This information applies ONLY to those of you who are using software provided by America Online ( AOL ) to view our pages .
It has been brought to our attention that a number of users that access this web site using AOL software were experiencing problems when viewing our pages . AOL also has some problems with our content , but they can not work out what they are .
Most of these problems were related to "unsharp" graphics and graphics that appeared to not have downloaded properly ( i.e. graphics had white lines running through them ) .
The problem stems from the software that AOL provides its users to view web pages . It is set up for a default that does not work well with many web pages , not just ours .
The good news is that you can easily adjust your software to correct all of these problems . Simply follow these directions :
1. Start your AOL (version 3.0 or later) software .
2. Click on "Members" on the top menu bar .
3. Click on "Preferences" on the list that drops down below "Members." .
4. Click on the icon above the letters "WWW." .
5. Select "Uncompressed Graphics" from the top menu .
6. Click on "OK" near the bottom of the menu .
That's it ! Now your software will download all of the graphics on our site ( when we get time to include them ) in their full glory and error-free !
